The Country Club of Newberry, founded in 1922, is a semi-private golf course located in Newberry, South Carolina. The 100 year old course has a long history and has old southern country club vibe. he greens at the Country Club of Newberry are well-maintained and in good condition. Golfers will appreciate the care and attention that the staff has put into keeping the greens healthy and playable. The bunkers are also well-maintained, which adds to the overall playing experience. The course features a driving range and a small chipping/putting green. The pace of play was decent. There are homes on some parts of the course. However, the course is not overly crowded with housing, and not every hole has homes around it. This means that golfers can still enjoy the natural beauty of the course without feeling like they are playing in a housing development. While some of the tee boxes could use a little work, the overall condition of the course is solid. I played the course in March when the grass was still dormant and not all of the trees were in bloom. The pictures don’t do the course justice and I’m sure it would look even more beautiful in the spring and summer months. It was a fun track and I would definitely play it again.
